If you didn't qualify for the Free File Program and want to still use an online product, you can use a different account (User ID) as mentioned above. Or if you don't want to start over in a different Online account, you can download the *.tax2018 data file from the Free File Program and then finish it in purchased software.

NOTE: As mentioned in that FAQ, if your *.tax2018 data file has a state return in it, you'll need to download the state program into your software before opening the file, or you'll get an error notice until you do. To do that, you can start a new dummy 2018 return in the software just long enough to download the state program. Then you can delete the dummy return.
