Get your taxes done using TurboTax
If your adult son lives with you and has no income---or less than $4700 not counting any Social Security---then you may be able to claim him as a qualified relative and get the $500 credit for other dependents. If you are single or considered unmarried, he may also be your qualified dependent for Head of Household filing status.

If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.
