Don’t worry if you are not seeing a tile for Death in Life Happens. You can still prepare and file a tax return for your deceased father.
- Tap My Info
- On Personal info summary, tap Edit to the right of your father’s name
- Answer YES to the question “I’m preparing this return for (my father) who has passed away"
- Enter your father’s date of death and continue
You may have to file Form 1310 to claim a refund if you are not the personal representative.
