Is filing 2024 tax, even if think there might be an erro, if error found file amended return a valid strategy?

Usually I receive a small state refund and owe a small amount or receive small refund on Federal return, For 2025, I'm receiving a heatlhy  refund (per TT)  and owe the state an almost equal amount.  Thus far I can not find an error.

t is generally best to avoid filing an Amended Tax Return unless absolutely necessary, as the process can be intricate and time-consuming. I recommend consulting a Tax Professional who can carefully review your tax returns, identify potential discrepancies, and help make any necessary adjustments.

I believe you are referring to 2024 filing.   I recommend you check your results with the TurboTax tax caster.  It is a great tool to drop in the amounts and see if the results agree (Federal only).   Here is the link:   Tax Calculator

You can also request an expert review through TurboTax before filing:   Expert Review

It is best to check your return in advance of filing to avoid having to amend in the future.

The most important factors affecting your refund are your income and the amount your employer withheld for taxes throughout the year.   You can use the tax caster to adjust your withholdings with a revised W-4 throughout the year.   Here is a link for the revised tax calculator for the One Big Beautiful Bill:  Tax Reform Calculator which continues to have updates.
