Estimated tax payment failed to be processed by IRS

I made my 6/15/25 quarterly estimated tax payment on a timely basis and received a confirmation notice from the IRS.  Subsequently I received a notice indicating the payment failed due to being unable to locate an account.  When I log into my online IRS account, I see the rejected payment but also see a pending payment for 6/15/25 which I am not able to update or cancel.  I have not receive any written correspondence from the IRS indicating the payment was rejected and to resubmit.  What action should I take?

Did you check your bank account? If no payment went to IRS on 6/15, IRS will not retry to withdraw the amount if first attempt failed for whatever reason. You will have to make another payment.

"If a payment is returned by your financial institution (e.g., due to insufficient funds, incorrect account information, closed account, etc.) the IRS will mail a Letter 4870 to the address we have on file for you, explaining why the payment could not be processed, and providing alternate payment options."

Thank you for your quick response.  I have been monitoring my bank account, and the payment has not been withdrawn.  I made the 3rd quarterly payment due on 9/15/25 and that was processed immediately to my bank account.
