According to Turbo tax here, my credit score is "very low". Why is that a bad thing? I'm fine with it being where it is.
The following is a link to an older, but still cogent, article with respect to credit score relevance.

That is really dumb. How I work cannot be measured in numbers. My score may be low, but I work hard. It should never be a factor when looking for a job. Good people with not so great credit still need a decent job and shouldn't work 2-3 jobs just to make ends meet.

If you read the article closely, your credit score is not a factor in hiring for all employers - it is more likely to be a factor if you're looking for employment in the financial services industry and they need your permission to inquire anyway.
Read part of it while half asleep. This is why credit stuff should be taught in school. I know nothing.

This is off-topic, but none of this "stuff" is taught in school - credit cards/scores, loans, investing, mortgages, et al. - and all of it should be.
