Hyphenated names don't work for payment submission

I found a bug in the efile processing on the desktop software. I have a hyphenated first name not as complex as Elon's son, X Æ A-12, but the payment form won't accept hyphen. I tried to use a different credit card, and it won't accept another person's name that doesn't match the return. This payment process is CRAPPY! I am going to find another way to submit my state return.

California legal names can allow hyphens and apostrophes:

One naming law that some[6] find restrictive is California's ban on diacritical marks, such as in José, a common Spanish name. The Office of Vital Records in California requires that names contain only the 26 alphabetical characters of the English language, plus hyphens and apostrophes.[7]
