I was in the same boat a little while back. I went to my credit union and got a secured loan. They don't check your credit for this-you give them an amount of money ($500) and they give you a loan for that amount. Make your payments on time, and they report to the Credit Bureaus. It will raise your score over time. I think $500 was the smallest amount they would loan on. You can do this as many times as necessary, just keep your payments up. Hope this helps...
