Can I use Turbo to get a credit report for the "other" joint filer on a TurboTax account (who happens to be me, in this case)? Years ago I created a TurboTax account to file our returns (married, filing jointly). My husband is the primary taxpayer on the account (much like the culture that exists in the finance industry, apparently the husband is still considered the "primary" filer on joint accounts with taxing authorities). The first Turbo dialog gives two choices: "continue" or "not William?" Well, I'm not William (I'm the other one). But "not William?" takes me to a dialog to create an account -- which I can't do because my email address is already in use.
Yes, you most certainly can! If you filed your taxes together and go to our Turbo iOS app, you can use our new Household feature which lets you add your Spouse into your Turbo account which gives you both credit scores and credit report details all in one app! A few requirements for using this feature:
Here's the steps to follow:
After downloading the Turbo iOS app from the App Store, sign into your same account that you used to file taxes with TurboTax. This is an important step because you want to have your tax data pulled into Turbo which will help us personalize the experience for you and your spouse. Once you're in the Turbo iOS app, swipe right on the overview to see the option to 'Add' your spouse. Your spouse wil need to sign up or sign in to Turbo and share their credit score and report which will allow you to see a Household view of your financial health in Turbo!
Please private message me if you have any issues doing this or have feedback you'd like to share!
