With all my college courses being online, due to covid, I purchased an ipad (mainly because printers were sold out every where). does an ipad qualify as an education exp?

I use the Ipad for school activities such as taking notes and zoom calls. I purchased this item because printers were sold out and wanted something to replace/substitute a printer.

Generally, if your computer is a necessary requirement for enrollment or attendance at an educational institution, the IRS deems it a qualifying expense. If you are using the computer simply out of convenience, it most likely does not qualify for a tax credit.
