Why does it say im working towards a degree when i have graduated this past spring semester.

most likely, the question was something akin to "what was your status on Jan 1, 2016?" or something of that nature, but referring to that specific date. On Jan 1 of 2016, you "were" an undergraduate, if you graduated after that date in 2016.
