Where do I find the Federal ID on 1098-T?

It should be listed in the box to the left of the form that says FILER'S federal identification no. and that is the second box from the top of the form to the left, right above STUDENT'S name. 

The form comes in many shapes & sizes but you are looking for a 9 digit number in this format 12- 3456789

Then ;you need to contact the issuer of the form.  A federal EIN is 9 digits.
