Where do I add higher education expenses not covered by the 1098-T? For example, textbooks and a laptop computer that were paid for from a 529 program?

My daughter's 529 fund was used to pay for expenses not reflected on the 1098-T from the school - specifically textbooks, food and a laptop - how do I add them to her education expenses?

After you enter the 1098-T, you will come to the "Here's Your Education Summary" page

Scroll down to "Other Education Expenses (for all schools)" and enter the additional expenses there.

If you have exited the 1098-T section, (in Desktop Home & Business) go back to

Personal

Deductions & Credits

Scroll down to Education

Scroll down to Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T) and click Start or Add/Edit
