What are you trying to enter about a student loan?  Are you trying to enter a 1098E for the interest you paid on the student loan?

WHERE DO I ENTER STUDENT LOAN INTEREST

As others have said, you need to clarify your question.  When you say "filing for my student loans and entering my schools' information", do you mean you went to school and paid the tuition with student loans?  In that case, you most likely want to claim the education/tuition credit.

The first thing you need to know: for most college age students, the parents claim the triton/education credit, not the student, himself.

If you're receiving an error, that you can't describe, the best thing is to delete the student and start over.  You'll have to re-enter everything.

Go through the entire education interview until you reach a screen titled "Your Education Expenses Summary".  Click delete next to the student's name.  You'll then get the "Your Education Expenses Summary" screen again.  Click the "Add a student" button.
