Under the 1099Q form, I am asked the state that sponsors this qualified tuition plan.

Under the RECIPIENT box is my name. My aunt set up this investment account for me, so her address in CO is stated under the RECIPIENT box. I go to school in SC, should I put SC or CO as the state sponsor?

If box 5 of the 1099-Q has "State" checked, you need to enter the name of the state.

The name of the state should be in the box titled PAYER'S / TRUSTEE'S name. Something like Colorado Tuition trust or South Carolina College Plan.
