TurboTax says I need to pay for Deluxe because I "have the Lifetime Learning credit" but I don't. Community suggestions have not worked. No 8863 or 1098-INT

I have tried multiple work arounds listed in community, although none have worked. I did not pay interest on my loans (no 1098 E) and TurboTax indicated that I was not eligible for the Lifetime learning credit or the other educational credit. I was a fulltime student.

The Lifetime Learning credit is based on entering a 1098-T, not a 1099-INT or 1098-E.

If you see form 8863 and form 1098-T, delete them. Click here for instructions

 

Alternate: 

Type letme (no space between let & me) in the search box. Then press enter. Then  click  on the link "jump to letme''.  TT will give you the option to unlick the  tuition  credit.
