Turbo tax keeps saying my daughter doesn't qualify for the eduation deduction because she has completed four years of college. But that's not accurate. She's only 18.

My daughter is in her second year of college. When I attempt to address the education credit, Turbo Tax says she does not qualify because she's already completed four years of college. I have no idea T.T. keeps saying this. Where and how do I rectify this?

Please re-visit the education interview questions.

It sounds as if you might have answered her years in college incorrectly.

Go to Federal Taxes

Expenses and Scholarships Edit

Click Edit next to the student's name

Education Information Edit

Please work through the interview questions carefully.
