What is is asking is how much to the student loan interest is for while you were a part year resident of OR.

So you have to do some math calculation.  Let's say 4 months you in OR, and paid interest on the student loan throughout the year.  Take the student loan interest paid in 2016 and multiple it by 4/12's or 1/3, and that is how much in my example would be allocated to OR.

So figure out the months and compute it.  It is an approx. amount.
