My school is tax exempted, is there a different way to deduct those expenses without having their EIN

They don't have an EIN but I still want to get a school tax credit for the courses I completed

Even tax-exempt organizations have a tax ID number. Your school may not qualify for the education credit.

An eligible educational institution is a school offering higher education beyond high school. It is any college, university, trade school, or other post secondary educational institution eligible to participate in a student aid program run by the U.S. Department of Education.

This includes most accredited public, nonprofit and privately-owned–for-profit postsecondary institutions.
