Is the interest paid Sallie Mae Bar Study Loans deductible?

Yes, it is. Sallie Mae should send you a Form 1098-E at the end of the year that shows the interest you paid.

Thank you. However, when I contacted Sallie Mae they informed me they do not generate a 1098-E for these type of loans. Rather they are sending a letter acknowledging the interest paid in 2018. How should I report that on my taxes?

You can still claim without the 1098-E. In the program, at the right upper corner, in the search box,type in "student loan interest" then Enter, Select Jump to student loan interest, follow prompts to enter info.
