Is a 5 month course studying to be an EMT considered a certificate or credential program when entering my daughters 1098T?

 Yes, if  the student got a certificate or credential program after completing the course. Simple answer: if you got a 1098-T, it's probably a qualifying course. 

Turbo tax is applying the American Opportunity Credit. She will continue on to higher education. Shouldn’t I remove that so we can claim it later during her 4 year degree?
