If I took Duel Enrollment as a high school student, does that mean I was a college student?

I'm not sure whether to mark myself as a college student or not since I only took a couple duel enrollment classes in the first semester of my junior year.

Yes, it does mean you are college student. However, dual enrollment students are not eligible for the American Opportunity Credit.  If the early college high school provides a college credit course, you may qualify for the Lifetime Learning Credit or Tuition and Fees deduction.

Also, if you are a dependent on someone else's return, you won't qualify for any education credits. If that's the case, you don't have to visit the education section at all.
