I went on a school field trip internationally and had to pay for my flights out of pocket. Is this deductible?

I am in graduate school online full time.

No, those travel expenses are not deductible.  They are a personal expense.

For the purposes of claiming an education tax benefit, room and board, transportation, and any other similar personal living expense is not a qualified education expense even if it is a requirement of enrollment or attendance for your school.

See the following TurboTax article or this link from the IRS (https://www.irs.gov/individuals/qualified-ed-expenses) for more information about qualified education expenses.
