I received the Board of Governors Waiver (BOG Waiver) while attending my community college.Am I required to include that in my Tax return? Is there a form sent for that?

I'm not sure if the BOG Waiver is supposed to be included for my tax return. I wasn't sent any kind of form that indicates the total amount of waived for my time in school.

There isn't any requirement to report the Board of Governors Waiver on your tax return.

It is a financial grant given by the government to qualified students in California to help them with the payment of their tuition. It should be reflected in your Form 1098-T, either as a reduction in the tuition billed/paid (Box 1 or 2) or as a scholarship grant (Box 5).
