I'm divorced, I paid 12000.00 for my daughters tuition , she lives with her mother, is it deductible?

The answer to your question will depend on whether you or your former spouse claim your daughter as a dependent. That is a matter usually addressed in divorce and custody agreements, so cannot be determined in this public forum.

The American Opportunity Tax Credit, the Lifetime Learning Credit, and the Tuition and Fees Deductions can only be claimed on your tax return for a student who is claimed as a dependent on you tax return.
