I go to the college, I paid school out of pocket, and it asked how much I paid for for books and materials and I put amnt.Now it wants an EIN number, do I put my schools?

Yes.  You will enter the EIN for your school.  You can find the EIN on Form 1098-T, which is furnished by your school.  You must use the information on Form 1098-T to claim education credits.

Log in to your school portal.  Most schools furnish the document electronically.  It may be listed under tax documents.
