I contribute to a M.529 college fund account out of pocket for my son Sebastian. Are there any tax benefits for contributing?
I did not withdraw anything but didn't know if I get a credit for simply contributing with post-tax dollars.
I already submitted my return for MI and according to MI there is tax benefits but I can't find where to put it in my Amended return.

Contributions to a qualified college savings plan (such as a 529) are not deductible on a federal return, but may be deductible on your state return.
If so, TurboTax will prompt you to enter your contribution(s) on your state return

I already submitted the return without it and when I try to amend the state return it just gives me the form and I don't know what to do with the form.
