I am entering my Daughter's 1098T, however, the software won't let me change the name to hers. It has me as the student. How do I change this/does it matter?

If you enter the wrong student, you'll have to delete all the info and start over.

Go through the entire education interview until you reach a screen titled "Your Education Expenses Summary".  Click DELETE next to the student's name.  You'll then get the "Your Education Expenses Summary" screen again.  Click the "Add a student" button.

Yes, it matters.  The student must be identified on the education credit form 8863 or deduction form 8917. The IRS can match those forms to the 1098-T.

Is your daughter listed as a dependent in the MY INFO section ?   If she is then she should be a student option in the education credits section.
