I am currently 26 and was a full time student for the entire year of 2018 living off of student loans. Do I need to file taxes?

If you had no income at all for the entire year, you do not have to file a tax return. Loans are not income.

However, if you received Advance Premium Tax Credit for health insurance that you purchased from the Marketplace, you are required to file a tax return.

If you worked, even part time, or you had any investment income, such as interest from a bank account, you might be required to file a tax return. You can use the calculator at the following link on the IRS web site to see if you have to file a tax return.
