Q. Do I answer no I don't have a 1098T while filing in TurboTax?
A. Simple answer: Yes. Better yet, you don't even start/open the Education Expenses and Scholarships section.
That said, The 1098-T is only an informational document. The numbers on it are not required to be entered onto either the parent or student tax return. However receipt of a 1098-T frequently means the parent is either eligible for a tuition credit or possibly the student has taxable scholarship income. In that case, it is entered as needed and may even go on both returns (with adjustments)
