Filing MN return & the "MN K-12 Education Subtraction" doesn't show up - shouldn't be an income limit. How do I get TurbotTax to give this option? Last year it did.

Last year, Turbotax let me enter this information but this year it seems to skip past it. I don't qualify for the education credit but this has no limit, but no option to consider it or show it as an option. Is it just because I'm taking Standard Deduction or how do I get TurboTax to do the analysis?

To claim the MN K-12 Education Subtraction,

- On the Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen, click on State Taxes then Start, Continue, Review/Edit, or Pick up where you left off

- If you land on the Status of your state returns screen, click Start or Continue next to Minnesota

- Continue through the state screens, answering questions appropriately, until you see the Minnesota Credits screen

- Select Start next to K-12 education expenses

- When asked if you would like to work on the education credit, choose No.

- The next screen should ask if you'd like to work on the education deduction. Choose Yes.

- Follow the prompts to enter the information about your K-12 expenses
