Entering tuition reimbursement in Turbo Tax

Since the amount of $5,250 is considered as tax free and the reimbursement was $5,265 (they paid $15 above the threashold and the $15 is most probabily already included in Box 1 of my W2) do I need to enter $5,250 in the box "Employer-provided Assitance" in Turbo Tax?

Yes. Otherwise, TurboTax (TT) thinks the amount in box 1 of the 1098-T can be used to claim the education credit.  The amount in box 1 needs to be reduced by any tax free assistance.

That answer assumes the school didn't already include the employer assistance in box 5, of the 1098-T, as some schools erroneously do.
