Do I use free edition or deluxe. The only additional credits with deluxe that I would qualify 1098-T for tuition statement. Is that worth the price?

If you pay any out of pocket expenses, you may qualify for an education credit.  To claim, you have to use the Deluxe edition.  If the credit applies to you, it is worth it.
