Can I get the lifetime learning credit even if my parents paid my tuition?

Yes, the tuition credit goes with the student's exemption. If you claim yourself you can claim the tuition credit.

It basically doesn't matter where the funds came from. They were paid on your behalf, so you can claim them.  However, you can not  claim the credit based on tax free scholarships.
