Can I deduct tuition payments for my son's private high school made from 529 account from my Federal taxes? California doesn't allow a state deduction. Does Fed?

I understand in 2018 you can now use 529 college savings for private elementary and high school tuition. We are not taxed on any investments in the 529. But we've already been taxed on the $ before we invest it into the 529. We also are not taxed on it if we withdraw it from the 529 to pay for qualified education expenses (form 1099-Q). Is there any Federal credit on top of that for the tuition paid?

There are no credits to be had ... however if you use the distribution for qualified education expenses then the distribution is not taxable and not reported on a return.
