Can I deduct an accent reduction course as an education expenses as small business owner of a costumer-oriented service business?

As a business owner of a business providing services to private individuals I have to communicate daily with prospective and current customers and partners. Is an accent reduction course seen as a business related education?

Yes. Training that maintains or improves your skills in your present line of work, even when such education is not mandatory for keeping your business going is a legitimate business expense.

Enter the training as a miscellaneous expense on Schedule C.
