Can I claim tuition payment paid to a high school for my high school junior daughter to take college classes at a local college as an Illinois Education Expense?

We did not receive a 1098-T since we paid the high school the tuition and we receive a receipt of payment from the high school.

Yes, you can claim high school tuition for a education expense credit in Illinois.

Please read this Illinois Revenue document for more information:

http://www.revenue.state.il.us/Individuals/Credits/educationexpensecredit.htm

These expenses are not deductible at the federal level.
