Can I attach a receipt for college expenses (e.g. books, uniforms, etc.) with my TurboTax tax return?

No, you cannot preemptively attach receipts to your tax return through TurboTax and you should not attempt to attach anything to your return that the IRS has not specifically asked for from you.  You will only send in items such as receipts in response to an IRS inquiry.  In order to send receipts preemptively, you would have to paper mail your return, but its almost a certainty that the IRS would actually just throw away anything extra included with the return when they process it.
