Brady, a FT college student in 2019, received support via student loans. Does that qualify him as paying for more than half his living expenses? He lived on campus

The loans covered room/board and tuition. He lived with me 3 months off and on throughout the year

Loans do count as support but time at school counts as time living with you and that has value. Use the worksheet to determine support included in this answer.

If the parent co-signed the loans, the loan money is NOT considered as support provided by the student.
