At 32yrs, in a master's program can I list tuition as job-related expenses on taxes? I received a 1098-T from the university and I don't qualified for AOTC or LLC credit.

My job prefers and lists a master's degree in my job description, stating that the degree will help in maintaining or improving my job skills. And not eligible for the American Opportunity Tax Credit (AOTC) or the Lifetime Learning Credit (LLC)

No.

Up to tax year 2017, job-related expenses were deductible as an itemized deduction subject to the 2% of AGI floor.

Under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the itemized deductions for job-related expenses subject to the 2% of AGI floor are suspended for expenses incurred after December 31, 2017 through 2025.

Regular W-2 employees are not allowed to deduct job expenses, including educational expenses.  The self employed may deduct such expenses if  job related, including  maintaining or improving  job skills.
