How do I request a refund for my TurboTax product?

TurboTax Desktop
If you believe that you qualify for a refund, you can request a refund through the Intuit Refund Request form here.
Only purchases of TurboTax Desktop made directly through TurboTax (including TurboTax Advantage) or through one of our authorized retailers/resellers qualify for our 60-day money-back guarantee.
If you wish to cancel your TurboTax Advantage subscription, please follow the instructions here.
If you bought your product directly from Intuit, you may need to follow the instructions instead:
Sign in to your Intuit account.
Select Products & billing.
Under Your products, find and select Want to request a refund? Request or track a refund.
Choose if you purchased your product directly from Intuit or from one of our authorized retailers/resellers.
Fill out the Intuit Refund Request form.
TurboTax Online products or services purchased from Intuit
Except where otherwise specified, versions of TurboTax Online can be used at no cost up until the point that you submit payment. Once payment has been received, the product is considered to have been used to prepare your taxes, regardless of whether you print or electronically file your return, or if it's rejected.
Submitting payment reflects your satisfaction with TurboTax Online preparation of your taxes, and is non-refundable.
Refunds for TurboTax Online fees are available only in the following circumstances:
You accidentally selected and paid for the wrong state.
You are seeing duplicate charges for the same product or service.
Your filing was impacted by a known product defect that was unable to be fixed before your filing deadline.
Note: If you made a purchase through an app store (such as Google Play or Apple's App Store), you'll need to request a refund directly through the same app store.
TurboTax Online products purchased from an authorized retailer
Starting December 2025, select retailers will sell TurboTax Online products. Please note that these products don't come with a 60-day satisfaction guarantee and are considered non-refundable by Intuit.
Submitting a refund request
If you believe that you qualify for a refund under the relevant product refund policies described above, you can request a refund through the Intuit TurboTax Refund Request form here.
Please note that this form is intended for valid refund requests only, and not monitored for assistance requests. Refunds are not guaranteed. A request may be denied if we have insufficient details to validate the request.
This form cannot be used to submit claims under a TurboTax Online Guarantee. Claims under a Guarantee must be submitted through the relevant process described in the TurboTax Online Terms of Service and will not be processed if submitted via this refund request form.
What to expect next after you submit your refund request
Once your refund request is submitted, we'll review your request. Details about the status of your refund will be sent by email.
