Why is my partnership income entered on Schedule E higher than the amount I entered from my Form K-1?

With respect to partnership income, both passive and nonpassive income will appear in Part II, page 2 of Schedule E.

Check all of the figures on the lines of your K-1.

Nobody but you can see your tax return or K-1. So without more details it's impossible to provide you any useful information.

If you are a member of a partnership that produces passive income, and passive income is the only thing reported on your K-1, then there should be nothing on page 1 of the SCH E. K-1 data appears only on page 2 of the SCH E.
