Why does TurboTax neither include Schedule D nor check the box indicating that it is being omitted?

I am reviewing my tax return before submitting it.  Form 1040, line 7, says that I must either include Schedule D or check to box indicating that Schedule D is being omitted.  TurboTax appears to do neither.  Can I say that my tax return is correct and complete to the best of my knowledge if there seems to be a failure to follow instructions for this line?

I understand that TurboTax is correct and that I do not need Schedule D.  My question is about behavior that seems to fail to follow the binary options of either including Schedule D or selecting the box.

schedule d is required if you have security transactions

the schedule d omitted box is checked if you have no security transactions but do have capital gain dividends

that box is left blank if you had neither security transactions nor capital gain dividends
