Why does TurboTax enter a "0" in box 7 when box 1 is checked?

According to the instructions on California Form 540, box 7 should be a "1" when box 1 is checked.  TurboTax enters a "0."  Federal From 1040 EZ enters the correct exemption, so I believe the exemptions were entered correctly.

The number of exemptions for Form 540 line 7 is -0- when you can be claimed as a dependent, and that information comes from your federal return. You can see this in Forms Mode, open the California Info Worksheet and in Part VI is Dependent of Someone Else: - the Taxpayer box must be checked and that came from the equivalent box on the federal Info Worksheet.
