Where can I find the info for Schedule K-1 Form 1065 Box 11 Code A?

I entered in all the info from Form 1065, and during review, TurboTax is prompting me to check the entry.  "Other Income Code A Line 1 has no entry.  A total of x has been entered for code A.  Code A is a generic and does not indicate the specific nature of the item.  Please enter x on the appropriate line or lines in this section."

I'm given three options with REMIC, Other Portfolio Income (Loss), and Another Description Item.  The partnership isn't real estate, so I'm not sure what to put.

Thank you for the screenshots.  You can enter the amount as follows:

  • Mark the box for Other Portfolio Income (Loss) to be reported on Page 2 of Schedule E.
  • In the description box, enter GILTI - Sec. 951A.  Enter the amount and click Continue

Is there a statement at the bottom of the K-1 or on another sheet that has more information?

Thank you for the reply.  I attached 2 more screenshots of what the form says in regards to 11A.  I hope this helps.

Hi Irene!  What if the description is simply "unapplied fees" and it is neither REMIC nor non-passive?  Is it OK to just leave income as non-passive if it makes no differnece to taxes?  Or is there a way to manually enter and still e-file?
