When I complete a 1099misc form for a contracted employee do the amounts automatically post to my business expenses?

If you are referring to some sort of automatic transfer to TurboTax, then it will not do so.

Regardless, if you are preparing a tax reporting statement for amounts you paid to an independent contractor (nonemployee compensation) in 2020, you should be preparing Form 1099-NEC.
