TT says I need to fill out separate K-1s for foreign income (box 16) from codes D, E, and F. How much of the entire K-1 info has to be repeated for the separate K-1's?

My Blackstone K-1 has box 16 foreign gross income under Codes D, E, and F.  The Turbo Tax software  is telling me I have to fill out separate K-1s for that (though Blackstones guidance doesn't say that).  How much of the data from the Blackstone K-1 has to be replicated for the additional K-1s (D, E, F)?  Also, I'm already having to do a separate Kp1 for Income from Boxes 1 (business income) and 2 (rental real estate income).  In that case, I only have to provide the value in Box 2 only.  Hoping I only have to provide the box D, E or F only.  Tx.

One K-1 for everything except box 2.  Include one of the box 16 categories as well (e.g., if you have anything labeled 'General', put it on this one too).

One K-1 for box 2.  That's the only number you put on this one

A 3rd one just for the next category of box 16.

Don't repeat any numbers -- TT will add them all together.  And you don't need to repeat any of the Part 2 info from the K-1.

Hi, thanks for the instructions when filling out a K-1 for the 3rd for box 16E, what activity type do I select (Business box 1, rental real estate income box 2, other rental box 3, or other)?

'Other' -- that will jump you to the screen where you'd just check off that you have box 16 entries.

Great, that worked.  Thanks for the tip.

Works for 2018 too, thanks.  But I still got an error during the error check saying I need separate K1s for passive income (code F and M).  I Had to put 16 D numbers on the first K1 and 16 F and M numbers on the second K1.
