Shipping costs business expense

Are shipping costs of items order for my business also deductible like shipping I pay to send items to customers? Are they all lumped together under one category if so, whether they were incurred ordering supplies, inventory, or advertising materials?

You can deduct your shipping cost as Miscellaneous Expenses.

Go to Business Expenses > Other Common Business Expenses > Other Miscellaneous Expenses (see attached screenshot).

Or you may find this section by typing "business expenses, self-employed" on the search bar and then click on the jump-to link.

What about in Turbotax deluxe? My "business" isn't complicated enough to require home/business.

Regardless of the level of complication of your business, you must report business income and expenses on a Schedule C for sole proprietorships. TurboTax Deluxe does support this document, but only for some basic business expenses. You can see the link below for additional information.
