Self-employed in 2023 - what taxes and forms for quarterly estimation and filing?

Hello TT Community,

I was an employee with W-2's through last year (2022). For 2023, I am self-employed and while I have already submitted estimated taxes for the first quarter of 2023 (just working on it manually), I need some assistance with what forms to use to automate estimation and filing for quarterly withholdings in Turbotax. I have been using TurboTax Premier (online). I also need to figure out if, in addition to the self-employment tax (federal and social security), what form(s) I need to fill out to submit Medicare taxes? Is Medicare tax estimation and filing for each quarter included in TurboTax? If so, where is it?  Thank you for your time and consideration of this inquiry.

Regards,
Cindy

Estimated payments cover Fed/SS/medicare ... you don't pay any of them separately.  If your state requires estimates remember to submit them also.

If you have already filed ... you can "break into" the closed return to use the estimation section ... be careful to NOT make any changes to the return.  When you log in scroll down and click on ADD A STATE.
