Schedule M1W 1: Line 2 income must be entered. where do i find this

Are you referring to the Minnesota Form M1W?

If so, when you entered your W-2 in the Federal section, did you enter an amount on line 16 of the W-2?  At first glance, that it seems like you may have accidently missed entering line 16 of the W-2 in the Federal section.
